GalatiansStudy 6: 1:11-24The true Gospel (Part b)Continuing looking at the true gospel as experienced by Paul we see: 3. The Christ centred message
3.1 To
reveal
Christ

And
this is the record that God hath given to us eternal life,
and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he
that hath not the Son of
God hath not life.

Jn
5:11-12
To
whom God would make known what is
the riches of the glory of this
mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory:
Col 1:27
|
|
So
then they that are in the
flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so
be that the Spirit
of God dwell in
you. Now if any man
have not
the Spirit of Christ, he is none of His.
Rom.8:8-9
|
|
And
he said unto
them, Ye are
they which justify yourselves before men; but
God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is
abomination in the
sight of
God.
Lk.16:15

|
That
Christ may dwell in your
hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, May be
able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and
length, and
depth, and height; And to know the
love of Christ, which passeth
knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
Eph.3:17-19
Ye are of God, little
children, and have overcome them: because
greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
I Jn.4:4 |
|
For
whom he did foreknow,
he also did predestinate to
be
conformed to
the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among
many
brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also
called:
and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them
he also glorified.
Rom.8:29-30
Beloved,
now are we the
sons of God, and it doth not yet appear
what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be
like him; for we shall see him as he is.
I Jn. 3:2 |
| For
we
preach not
ourselves, but Christ Jesus the
Lord; and
ourselves your servants for Jesus’ sake. II
Cor.4:5
|
| But we preach
Christ crucified, unto
the Jews a stumblingblock, and unto
the
Greeks foolishness; I
Cor.1:23
For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified. I Cor.2:2 |
|
Howbeit
when He, the Spirit of truth, is
come, He will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of
himself; but
whatsoever He shall hear, that
shall he speak: and He will shew you
things to
come. He shall glorify me: for He shall receive of mine, and shall shew
it unto
you. All things that the
Father hath are
mine: therefore said I, that He shall take of mine, and shall shew it
unto you.
Jn.
16:13-15
Finally,
brethren,
whatsoever things are
true,
whatsoever things are
honest, whatsoever things are
just, whatsoever things are
pure,
whatsoever things are
lovely,
whatsoever things are
of good
report; if there
be
any virtue, and if there
be any praise, think on these
things.
Phil.4:8
Surely
no one
could fit the
picture of the above better than
Christ?
For who is more true, honest, just, pure, of good report and virtuous
than He ? Let us think on Christ. There are times when the other
issues have to be discussed, but Christ is and always should be our
central theme, and anything, or anyone else that seeks to take our
hearts and minds away from Christ should be rejected. |
